WeMedia - The We and The Media Session 1

Just been watching live coverage of WeMedia conference (http://www.bbc.co.uk/blogs/wemedia/
The first session was The We and The Media.
They just had Jeremy Vine talking about survey () about how media is seen across world and was very one sided in supporting traditional media.
But they just had comment that sums it all up for me I don’t know TV exec gentlemen�s name paraphrased
It is not about media it is about news and views. I like to read views of bloggers same as I like to hear views of TV news and other traditional media.
The session seemed to be about if media is news and blogsaphere is view of the news or blogsaphere can be news as well.

I probably should say i do believe that blogs can provide news and where they work well is they provide an alt view from mainstream.
