Well I am Russell and I am live in the UK in place called Leicestershire with my lovely partner Deity
What is your day job?
I work in a high scool in Leicestershire as a Network Manager.
What else do you do?
I have been a member of EduGeek since it started and have helped guide EduGeek.net into becoming the leading online portal and community for IT Professionals In Education. My role now encompass everything to do with site as I am one of the Site Administrator which means along with other site administrators we manage a team 13 staff whose roles go from being a moderator of the forums to being our online news editor and all jobs in between.
I organised the national conference last year and are organising two this year. Also along with another member we work with Specialist Schools Trust in various projects one those being regional training workshops for ICT Support Staff.
Also as part of my work with them I also talk regularly to organisations such BECTA, British Computer Society, support staff unions to give over concerns and to make sure that needs of ICT support staff in UK are meet.
I also managed a survey of ICT Support staff working in education in which we have had over 200 people file the survey in and we are currently colleting the data to be published in a state of ICT in education report due out at end of this month.
I also work with suppliers so that we get equipment for projects we run like national conference but also review copies of software and hardware for our news teams to review. We have worked with company’s such as RM, Apple UK and Netgear to name just a few.

I am one of the moderators for RM Communities an online area for RM Customers to get informal peer to peer support. The site came from RM Mailing list an email list of similar nature.
RM Panel
I am member of the RM Panel with this we are given advance material to make comments on before they go out this can include anything from marketing to technical material. Also I was involved in recommending what new products should have in it from a usability side as well as the technical side.
